This shot from Kyle has no obvious comet in it (the very bright object is the Moon, and over that Jupiter) but it really captures the mood of the crowd that gathered to see the COMET. I love it that enthusiasts show up to offer their knowledge and peeks through their scopes…it makes for a lovely time for all and I saw a couple of people there who had never seen a comet before, and surely would not have found it alone. Because, as everyone keeps saying, Pan-Starrs ain’t no Hale-Bopp.
Today is a day of work and only work (book shipping) with one exception- I’m taking Liam for his driver’s permit. Big event!
a great spot! I see the comet on the picture when in full screen, very close to the horizon. I think that such events show how people, deep inside, are truly related to one another through the things that are universal. It’s good to have a comet or eclips or so from time to time, it reminds us that we are all together standing on the same planet and that it is round and because it is round we all are on top of the world, all equal :)
