An almost full moon is lighting up the sky. I spent a few hours outside in her glow, moving solar lights around, raking in the dark. Apparently it’s going to get colder again, but hey. While it lasts…

One night while my dad and stepmother were living on the 52nd floor at 111 E Chestnut, she was very, very ill at the time, I was spending the night so my dad could sleep and I didn’t want my stepmother to be frightened as I had never stayed all night, so I was afraid to turn on any lights. I was beading by only the light from the “halo” at the top of the John Hancock building and a full moon lighting up the sky and leaving a beautiful glow spreading over Lake Michigan. I needed no other lights, I thought angels were preparing her way it was so beautiful. That night is burned into my memory.
This is magical. You must have never wanted morning to come and destroy this beautiful sight.
Thanks for sharing the magic!
That’s a lovely memory from what I know was a difficult time… thank you.
It’s been a great week for stargazing….I’ve been watching Jupiter and the moon hang out together all week.
Marianne-what a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing.

Jupiter and Venus have both been astonishing this year. So bright!
