David Byrne understands… Hey! Speaking of DB, has anyone in NYC seen the Cindy Sherman exhibition yet? Tell me it’s mindbendingly good. Of course it is.
I’ve been (rightly) taken to task for every single thing I said yesterday, but I’d like to see how you communicate after all of those things happen to you. Basically, as I knew going in, there is no way to describe my surreal adventures without being a problem, because each and every one of them were things that we may see, but not discuss.
As I’ve always said, if I ever say anything to offend you, naturally I’m very sorry, but it must be also said that I will certainly do it again. So as I always say next, it’s best to run now, rather than later. Better for everyone.
Maureen sent me a hilarious video from a total triangle soulmate. I know this will crack Jean up.
We’re looking for another nice warm day in the 80′s, but tomorrow a nasty dive down into the 60′s. Still pretty fine for the people reporting in with ice on their cats and snow on their porches. Gabri has been soaking up the sun, avoiding a bit more of a Chicago winter. Here she is with a bowl of Jean Power’s strange and beautiful avocado/cucumber cold soup.
Today…. ?
I can’t even guess.
Hopefully all of the kit beads will come in. And I will feel like a superhero again. I should probably wear the Flame Cuffs all day, just to shore me up.

Visit the Beadmobile blog and keep up on the progress of our new book, Geometrics!

The triangle video is Brilliant! Each new doodle turned into a beaded piece in my mind…
Glad you’re feeling better today.

Did you say… avocado cucumber cold soup? That sounds delicious. And green! Two of my favorite things.

I loved that triangle video – and when she mentioned ‘Sea Monsters”, I knew you two were soulmates. I’m the one who reported in this morning with ice on poor Smudge’s tail and tummy. (I’m happy to say he’s defrosted very nicely, and willingly went back outside – crazy fool). You guys all sound like you’re having a wonderful time together – I’m so excited for ‘the’ Book, and am enjoying reading all your fab updates. Even if it goes down to 60ish tomorrow, know there’s a good 80 degrees difference from what’s going on over here. Enjoy. Every. Moment.
And as far as snow on my balcony? Pumpkin – it’s partway up my windows, and seriously blocking the light. Help!!!

I can’t even FATHOM that much snow for that long!
Thanks for the good wishes on the book- it is fun, and exhausting, and terrifying, and wonderful.
