orange blossoms

All over Tucson, the citrus trees are beginning to bloom. My grapefruit,  tangerine and orange trees still have their flowers furled, but I can smell them on the air.

This one is outside the Apple Store in the foothills.

Oh, how I miss Tucson when the citrus are in bloom! We had orange, lemon, lime, and grapefruit. Hope you’re feeling better from the Cup, too. I never had dinner there — mainly breakfasts on Sunday mornings.

If u collect the flowers and rinse them off & place them in a jar with vodka or grain alcohol for a month or 2 & then stain and add some simple syrup you will have the most amazing orange blossom or lemon or grapefruit blossom flavored liquor.
Compliments of my late wonderful Italian mother- in- law.
    Salute cento anno!
    Ciao Leslie
