I love the horn-wing thing we have going on in our pieces that combine open wings with enclosures, increases with decreases. In my mind the Rick-Rack, the Digital Cuff, the Power Puff, the Six-Wing, the Sea Mistress, they are all the same thing, just with different math.
It’s fun but daunting trying to write about the process of identifying and working the potential forms.
It’s more like clothing equations in glass cloth than anything else. Tweak the information, and entirely different shapes blossom. It would be fun to model on a computer, but that has always struck me strongly as cheating. It’s just not cricket. Anyway, it’s more fun to actually watch. In bead time. Which is verrryyy verrrryyyy slow.
I cannot FATHOM never having met Jean Power and seeing her tremendous beadwork. And working with Dustin, who is a genius. And Gabri, and Teresa, and all of our Test Beaders and colleagues who have Mind-Melded with us. I am forever changed!
Do you see what I mean about all of these pieces being essentially the same? Same ideas, different math.

Sea Mistress reminds me more of a Japanese temple, lying on its side. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kiasu/2935467496/
A gold one would be very kewl.

Oh, thank you for your comment, Marg! I think pagoda every time I see the wings curve. Such a gorgeous shape!
