Beautiful Sky Harbor

Can you see the moon?

The TSA was annoying beyond belief at Sky Harbour today (they were running some special Intimidation Exercises, and I only wish I were kidding about that but sadly I am not) but the view from Gate A-6 was sublime. It sort of made up for the police state at the gate.

Their antics so rattled the gate agent that she salted the Emergency Exit Row (which I think of as my own personal section of the aircraft) with portly senior citizens who needed help to stand up and a tiny little grandmother whose feet did not touch the floor- if she outweighed the door she was supposed to be able to toss out of the aircraft I’d be amazed. Luckily we reached the ground without incident. Can you even imagine the clog of OMG they would have made if anyone had actually had to do anything?

I would have Said Something To Someone if I hadn’t been keenly aware of the level of irony in life; it’s just as likely that somehow I would turn out to be the problem, and one of those wheezy old dudes would be rescuing me. I’d look like a total piker in that case.

So anyway, I’m in St. Louis, and it’s cold as the grave. but I’m soaking up the family love and putting the final rows on my Mermaid Cuff, which I will be happy to show you quite soon. It’s … indescribable.

I made beautiful standing waves.

Stay warm! :) Oh, & I COULD see the moon in the photo. I LOVE the full moon. I always feel like one should go out & dance in the moonlight. Moonlight can be intoxicating!

Cold weather just sucks….no two ways about it.

I’m sorry it’s cold. We’ve just recently decided to experience winter down here in SC. It’s 32 or something like that outside. Too fucking awful, for sure. I cannot imagine what it’s like up there!

But I’m not cold because after reading your description of the clog of OMG, I am merrily laughing out loud and making my cat look at me funny which just makes me laugh more. Thanks for that!

Cannot wait to see the finished cuff! so sad to have left my work in Denver. it will catch up to me soon. Yes, COLD here, also, but lovely to be home.

I was shattered that you were not able to BEAD on the flight! It is in the teens here, cold I think by almost anyone’s standard.
But sunny, so really, who cares.
      Love!

“…the clog of OMG…” too funny. I can’t wait to see a picture of the mermaid cuff.
