Iraqi reporter throws shoe at Bush

I’m sure this brave soul is already being tortured by Rumsfeld personally (he’s got the time now) in Gitmo. 

What was Bush thinking, anyway, giving a presser in Baghdad? Is he taking some kind of victory lap? Because he may be overmisunderestimating the scope of his massive failures. According to recent polling, about 96% of the world, and about 70% of Americans think his entire Presidency has been the worst in American history. There are so many people who would love to throw a shoe at his head. I sure would.

Here is the video. Bush reacted very quickly- those shoes were thrown hard and accurately. It does make me wonder- where was Bush’s Secret Service detail in all of this? If I raised my hand to throw something at the President, I would expect to be dead before it left my hand. Not that in certain cases it wouldn’t be worth it… but to me this represents a real lapse in Presidential security. 

Hopefully they will do a better job defending Barack.
