female-cape-may-warbler

A pretty little Cape May Warbler, photographed by Charlie on the 10,000 birds blog. I’m glad birders use field glasses and not shotguns for their IDs these days.

And here is a pretty Scissor Tailed Flycatcher, photographer unknown. What’s not to love about a bird. So cute!

I’m almost caught up with the stupid, and I can dive into the new work that I’ve been dreaming of for months.

I’ve been drawing and dreaming and plotting and watching… and starting tomorrow it’s time to be making. My life would be complete if I could find my camera cable, which crawls off and hides in the stranges places at the stupidest times. I have a lot of photos I’d like to share. Since I can’t, here are two more shots from the incredible Laurent Baig, another independent artisan out there in the world who would love to ship you a print of your favorite.

Another fabulous place to shop this holiday season is Gail Crosman Moore’s rather new Big Cartel shop. Have you been?

We all know her fabulous work, but did you know that she is also selling tons of vintage sequins and findings? Get them while they still exist. So many of these things are on their last box in a dusty warehouse. I don’t know how Gail finds some of the things that she does. These are my favorite sequins on earth.
